"Stop
talking and read this book! John Wasik's 10-step plan will get
you there!"
-- Alan
Lavine and Gail Liberman, authors of The Complete
Idiot's Guide to Making Money With Mutual Funds
"No longer can you assume doing your job will guarantee a
raise or a promotion. A pat on the back isn't even certain. A
kick out the door is more likely. This book will help you achieve
financial independence before you see your employer's foot coming."
-- Stephen
Pollan, best-selling author of Live Rich and Die Broke
"A successful
retirement is about more than just having enough money. It's a
whole new perspective on living. This is a superb guide to merging
the spiritual and the financial into a retirement that really
works."
-- John
Rubino, author of Main Street, Not Wall Street
"This
book is perfect for those yearning to live according to their
values instead of society's dictates. Every overworked American
who feels trapped by the confines of nine-to-five should buy this
book. It's not just a money book, but rather a blueprint for life."
- - Clare
LaPlante, author of Wall Street on a Shoestring
"This
book is an excellent guide to reaching a dream shared by so many
Americans, but is also much more. It redefines prosperity in a
comfortable, rational way that reduces money to a simple tool
and counts much of what we already have - but don't always see
- as a measure of true wealth."
--Dennis
Fertig, editor-in-chief of Your Money magazine.
"John
has been able to impart real-life investing experiences
and
that information is passed along to the reader in a manner that
not only makes it interesting, but informative."
--Kenneth
Janke, president and CEO of the National Association of
Investors Corp.

My
out-of-print books:
The
Green Supermarket Shopping Guide
Remember in
1990, when everyone wanted to help the earth in their own small
way? Well, this was my contribution, which rated several thousand
everyday supermarket items on their environmental soundness. It's
a wonderful piece of nostalgia in a time when the Neanderthals
in Washington are doing everything they can to roll back nearly
every environmental law in sight. If you can find a copy, send
it to your Congressional representative with my regards and keep
on recycling!
The Green Business Resource Guide
This was my
self-published follow-up to the above title, only geared toward
businesses. Unfortunately, I think most businesses still haven't
gotten the picture that being environmentally sound means higher
profits and lower operating costs. It's way out of date, but I
have a few copies on hand if you're desperate.
The Electronic Business Information Sourcebook
This was my
first book, a reference guide written before anybody knew what
the Internet was all about, so it's older than the Roman forum.
If you find a copy, you may have a collector's item. Donate it
to your local museum. It's a relic.
